Candle Care

To make the most of your candle, let it burn until the melted wax creates a pool that reaches to the inner walls of the candle jar.  The typical burn time is 1 hour for every inch in jar diameter.  If the wax does not melt to the candle’s full diameter, it will lead to a conundrum known as “tunneling” which will decrease the integrity of the candle.

To minimize sooting or black smoke, trim the candle wick to one quarter inch after each burn once the wick has cooled or before you light your candle.  This will enhance the quality of the burn and provide the best sensory experience.
